This season, the Deering Estate celebrates the holiday season through the looking glass with décor inspired by the fantastical world of Lewis Carroll.
Led by Deering Estate Designer-in-Residence, Alfredo Brito, each room of the Stone House and Richmond Cottage will feature whimsical holiday decorations by premiere local interior designers that will bring to life the colorful characters and topsy-turvy world of Wonderland.
Carroll’s beloved characters, including Alice, White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts, will be featured in several historic rooms, galleries, and hand-decorated holiday trees.
Highlights of this year’s décor include an imagined recreation of Carroll’s literary studio, a table set for Mad Tea Party, and many other surprises!

Zoo Lights in Zoo Miami

Surround yourself with nearly a million bright, animal-shaped lights draped throughout Zoo Miami.
You can stroll through the park and enjoy carousel rides, plus there will be themed nights (like ugly sweaters or superhero nights!) where you can dress up and have fun with other visitors and get a chance to win a prize for best dressed.
There will also be animal encounters, Snowman's River Boat Rides, Galactic Night, Hot chocolate and cookies, Photos with Santa, Stilt Walkers, and of course, holiday shopping at the Zoo Gift Shop.

I've lived in Miami for over 50 years, and this year is the 40th year that we have been lucky enough to have Santa's Enchanted Forest around. Besides the amazing rides and the feel-good vibes, you get the moment you enter the "forest," they have Elephant Ears to die for!
