Rally your four-legged gang for a paw-fect adventure across the pup-friendly parks around Horse Country, a countryside retreat in the suburban expanse of Kendall.

Add a rustic feel to your daily dog walks as you step into the Fido-approved green spaces beyond the perimeter of Horse Country, a sprawling haven of stables, farms, and family estates with an opulent equestrian lifestyle.

Known for its massive one-acre lots, ranch homes, and nurseries, Horse Country stands as Miami's version of "countryside in the city," in a location bordered by Bird Road, Kendall Drive, and the Turnpike, which puts locals and their furry pals within minutes of lush parks and neighborhood hangouts that they can explore to their heart's content.

Ready for a day of shady trails and exciting open fields? You won't need to stray far from home!

Here are the dog-friendly parks near Horse Country.

1) Dog Dude Ranch (Top Pick!)

6305 SW 120th Ave, Miami, FL 33183

Give your pup the ultimate getaway at Dog Dude Ranch, a dog-dedicated retreat in Horse Country!

Unlike traditional parks, Dog Dude Ranch is designed exclusively for four-legged visitors, offering acres of fenced-in land where they can run, play, and socialize off-leash under supervision.

Dog Dude Ranch is family-owned and has been welcoming pups since the late '90s, with open fields, shaded areas, and even splash pools for hot Miami days.

Here, staff members are always on hand to ensure playtime stays safe, so you can relax knowing your furry friend is in good company.

Drop your dog off for daycare, boarding, or to enjoy some off-leash freedom—Dog Dude Ranch promises all kinds of tail-wagging fun.

By the way, don't forget the basics—your pup should be up to date on vaccines, and it never hurts to bring along their favorite toy for a familiar touch of home.

2) Tropical Dog Park - Tropical Park (Top Pick!)

7900 SW 40th St, Miami, FL 33155

Developed on the site of a former horse track in 1979, the famous Tropical Park attracts approximately 1,500,000 visitors annually for its fun outdoor activities, like bicycling, walking, or running on the miles of paved pathways, and an array of facilities, including equestrian and community centers.

But 'hoomans' aren't the only kinds of visitors Tropical Park welcomes daily.

This park loves getting canine guests, too!

Lying in the heart of Tropical Park is one of the largest dog parks in Miami, the Tropical Dog Park, just 8 minutes from Horse Country.

This bark park offers two fully fenced sections suitable for off-leash play and a safe space designed for small, elderly, and shy dogs!

At Tropical Dog Park, dog runs are well-equipped to provide a fun day at the park for Fido and his family.

The play areas boast water access for dogs and humans, shower stations, agility equipment, ample seating in shaded areas, and complimentary poop bags.

Meanwhile, when not in designated off-leash areas, dogs must remain on a lead.

Other on-site amenities include the Ronald Reagan Equestrian Center, the Mary Abreu Community Center, the Tennis Center, and the Track and Stadium.

There is also a weekly Farmer's Market hosted on the grounds.

3) Snapper Creek Park

10280 SW 80th St, Miami, FL 33173

Plan a trip to Snapper Creek Park and treat your pup to a full day of running and fun, just 8 minutes from Horse Country.

While smaller compared to other parks in the city, Snapper Creek Park is extremely dog-friendly, allowing leashed pups in all areas of its paw-some play space.

Here, you'll find a paved walkway where you and your best pal can stroll along while taking in the Miami sunshine, a kiddie playground (which your dog can also use), and benches throughout the park, where you can rest or enjoy a light snack.

Before heading out to the park, pack a bag of park essentials, like a ball or frisbee, bottled water, some treats, and cleanup sacks, as you will surely need them.

4) Arvida Park

12830 SW 108th St, Miami, FL 33186

Head over to Arvida Park and let your pup stretch its legs across its welcoming green space, just 9 minutes from Horse Country.

A neighborhood park that allows leashed dogs throughout, Arvida Park stands as a simple and solid choice for a quick walk or a relaxed afternoon outdoors.

Hee, you'll find open playfields where your furry friend can enjoy a little exercise, plus shaded spots and benches for cooling off under the trees.

A playground and basketball courts round out the amenities, so there's something for the whole family to enjoy while the pup tags along.

Just remember to bring water and cleanup bags so you and your pup can make the most of your visit.

5) Olympic Park

8601 SW 152nd Ave, Miami, FL 33193

Invite your pup to stroll past basketball courts and shaded pavilions while you sneak in a sidewalk workout or two at Olympic Park, the sporty vibe you need in your daily dog walk, just 9 minutes from Horse Country.

With its paved trails, fitness stations, and sunny open spaces, this 60-acre retreat is perfect for active dogs who can match their owner's pace.

Here, leashed dogs are welcome to explore the grounds, making Olympic Park a great pitstop for fresh air, a brisk walk, or even a quick fetch session between benches.

If you're the type to multitask your cardio with canine bonding, this one's a slam dunk.

6) Tamiami Trail Park

12760 SW 6th St, Miami, FL 33184

A dog-friendly park within Tamiami's North Trail Park, Tamiami Trail is a top recreational spot you can bring Fido around Horse Country, especially if your pup loves long walks and exploring, since it's only 9 minutes away!

At the park, you can stroll, run, and play with your pup on a leash on its expansive grassy field, and if you need to use them, you'll also find bag dispensers and waste baskets along the way.

Aside from its open space, Tamiami Trail Park also has a playground for the kids, large shade trees, benches, and fences for security.

Don't forget your dog's lead!

7) Kings Meadow Park

9900 SW 142nd Ave, Miami, FL 33186

A tiny gem packing a punch with its open spaces, shady nooks, and well-lit walkways, Kings Meadow Park is the perfect park for a peaceful morning or afternoon bonding sesh with your pup, just 10 minutes from Horse Country.

Sure, it's not as big as some other parks, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in charm.

While Fido can't run free here, a leashed visit will still be worth it, especially if your pet loves to people-watch.

And hey, if you've got kids in tow, the playground and basketball courts will keep them entertained while you and your best pal soak up the laid-back vibes.

8) Lago Mar Park

8165 SW 162nd Ave, Miami, FL 33193

If your dog's ideal afternoon includes a sunny adventure with lakeside views and a squirrel sighting or two, Lago Mar Park is a total win, just 10 minutes from Horse Country.

Though modest in size, this local gem features basketball and volleyball courts, grassy play zones, and a winding trail where leashed dogs are free to sniff every blade of grass along the way.

Water fountains and shaded benches make it extra convenient for a slow-paced wander or a high-energy romp—but bring the leash to let the good times roll (without breaking any rules).

Another thing we love about Lago Mar Park? The breeze off the lake is free and fabulous.

9) Tree Island Park (Top Pick!)

14700 SW 10th St, Miami, FL 33184

Are you looking for a fun recreation spot for your family near Horse County-- Fido included?

Come to Tree Island Park and have an outdoor experience you won't soon forget, just 10 minutes away!

Tree Island Park features a 4,666-square-foot kiddie playground with slides, swings, steppers, spinners, a climbing net, and more.

You'll also find a lighted fitness zone, a restroom building, and two picnic shelters with picnic tables and grills.

Best of all, there's a dog park with separate fenced areas for small and large dogs, dog clean-up stations, and water fountains, which means Fido can join in on the fun, too!

Other park amenities include park benches, litter receptacles, fitness zone equipment, bicycle racks, a lighted connecting walkway, a lighted parking area with 53 parking spaces, six electric vehicle charging stations, and off-street parking spots.

Are you craving a bit of nature?

Good news!

The site is surrounded by new plantings of native butterfly-attracting plants and trees, including live oaks, gumbo limbos, and wild tamarinds.

Meanwhile, the surrounding natural preserve has 20 acres of native tree islands (hydric hammocks) and 50 acres of muhly grass (marl prairie), which are habitats characteristic of Florida's East Everglades!

A must-visit park, indeed!
