    Happy Independence Day!

No matter what your celebrating style may be, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the Fourth of July!

Whether you are spending time indoors, over a nice family dinner or you’re having a big group of friends over for a cozy Summer evening bbq, there is always a way to have a good time.

If you’re like us and prefer to go all out on the 4th of July enjoying barbecues, festivals, parades, and firework displays, we’ve got you covered on the best activities in the Miami area.

See the top 4th of July Celebrations in the Miami area for 2018!

America’s Birthday Bash at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami

Once again, Bayfront Park and Bayside Marketplace will team up to host “America’s Birthday Bash,” one of the largest holiday fireworks displays in South Florida. Bayfront Park will have a free all-day event from 10 a.m. until midnight, featuring a kid's play zone, food and beverages, giveaways, a Sam Adams Beer Garden and, of course, live music. The beer garden and live music will start at 2 p.m. and the Kids Zone will be open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Fire on the Fourth Festival in North Beach

Every year, the City of Miami Beach hosts an annual “Fire on the Fourth Festival” from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the North Shore Park Bandshell at 73rd Street and Collins Avenue. Expect food trucks serving tasty eats, yoga, fireworks and plenty of live music. If you plan to watch fireworks from the beach, get there early and bring a blanket or chair to claim your spot.

There will be park-and-ride locations with free shuttles at North Shore Bandshell Park and 41st Street/Royal Palm Avenue until 10 p.m., and free trolleys taking guests around the North Beach Loop, Collins Link, Middle Beach Loop and South Beach Loop until Midnight. Admission to this event is free.

July 4th Fireworks on Ocean Drive in South Beach

Grab a seat at one of Ocean Drive’s sidewalk cafés or rooftop bars, and watch the fireworks show at 9 p.m. The show will take place over the beach along Ocean Drive, between 5th and 15th Street.

The Barnacle Old Fashioned 4th of July Picnic

This Independence Day, head to The Barnacle Historic State Park, in Coconut Grove, for an old-fashioned family picnic! Happening from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., bring a homemade picnic basket or buy burgers and hot dogs from The Barnacle Society, and spend the afternoon listening to live music, doing crafts or scavenger hunts with your kids, flying kites, or playing lawn, table and board games. Tickets cost $5 per adult and $3 per child 6-11. Children under 6 are free.

Picnic & Fireworks at Regatta Park

If you’re already in Coconut Grove for the other daytime July 4th celebrations, end your day at Regatta Park with a free evening picnic and fireworks show. Bring your own picnic, lawn chairs and blankets to the park as early as 6 p.m., and enjoy quality time with family and friends as you wait for the fireworks show to start at 9 p.m.

Key Biscayne Fourth of July Celebration

It doesn’t get more American than this! At Key Biscayne’s annual Fourth of July Parade, you’ll see marching bands, decorated golf carts, red-white-and-blue floats, live music and even jets flying over the event. The parade starts at 11 a.m., and runs along Crandon Boulevard from Harbor Drive to West Enid Drive. Perfect for the whole family, there’s a Kiwanis Picnic on the Village Green after the parade. There will be a fireworks show at 9 p.m., which you can see from the Village Green or for miles along the Atlantic Ocean.

Park in any of the shopping centers, grocery stores or public areas along Crandon Boulevard, but come early, as some streets might be blocked once the festivities begin. Crandon Park has parking and is only a half-mile walk from the start of the parade. If you choose to park there, you can also host your own BBQ with family and friends at one of the park’s pavilions or grilling areas, and spend the day on the beach.

    Biltmore Hotel

Every year, the historic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables hosts one of South Florida’s most popular July 4th celebrations. At this free outdoor event, enjoy lots of food and drinks, a live concert and, of course, plenty of fireworks. The grounds will open at 5 p.m., with a 7 p.m. concert and a 9 p.m. fireworks show. Bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs, and get there early! This event gets crowded, so you want to make sure you have plenty of time to claim your spot on the golf course.

For this event only, the City of Coral Gables will offer free bike valet and free parking at specific locations, with free shuttle service to and from the Biltmore Hotel. The complimentary parking areas are: the Ponce de Leon Garage and BankUnited Center surface lot at the University of Miami, the Coral Gables Youth Center, and Garage 4 at 345 Andalusia Avenue. Shuttle service will run from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Bike valet will run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Black Point Park & Marina 4th of July Spectacular

Have a boat? You can watch the fireworks from it! At Black Point Park & Marina, the largest marina in Miami-Dade County, spend July 4th on the water or exploring the park’s bikeways, scenic jogging trails or 1.5 mile jetty into the Bay. Grab food and drinks at Black Point Ocean Grill, which is right on the water, and stay for the fireworks show at 9 p.m.

“Race to the Fourth” at Homestead-Miami Speedway

Each year, the City of Homestead hosts an exciting event at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, with live music, food trucks, drinks, games, rides and rock walls for the kids and, the main event, a fireworks show. Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m., and can be seen from the grandstand seating areas.

Admission to this event is free, and a limited number of VIP “4th of July Champions Club” tickets are available. These tickets include food and drinks, VIP parking at the stadium and access to preferred viewing areas during the fireworks show. VIP tickets cost $20 per adult and $10 per child 7-12.

Free parking is available at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.
