Best Dog Parks
1) Blanche Park (Coconut Grove)
3045 Shipping Ave, Miami, FL 33133
Blanche Park is in Coconut Grove and is one of the only dog parks that has turf in Miami: therefore, your dog is not covered in dirt after playtime.
However, other dogs’ slobber, I cannot promise.
Additionally, there is a children’s playground right next to the dog park, making Blanche Park a great place to bring the whole family.
2) Village Green Dog Park (Key Biscayne)
390 Crandon Blvd, Key Biscayne, FL 33149
Village Green dog park is directly adjacent to a soccer field in Key Biscayne. It is known to be the cleanest and best put-together dog park in Miami.
It is a beautiful place to relax, meet new people and watch dogs interact and play.
Best Dog-Friendly Beaches
1) Haulover Dog Beach (Miami Beach)
10800 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33154
My all-time favorite beach to take my dog to is Haulover Beach.
The beach offers the sale of both dog and human popsicles.
Just outside of the beach, there is a separate dog park for both big and small dogs.
2) Hobie Island Beach (Key Biscayne)
South end (north side of Rickenbacker Causeway)
Key Biscayne, FL 33149
Located just off Rickenbacker Causeway, Hobie Island Beach is.
A great place to enjoy beach activities with your dog.
You can admire the view and grab a hot dog or from the beach stands.
Additionally, there are on-sight kayaks and stand-up paddle board rentals.
Best Dog-Friendly Restaurants
1) Ecléctico Restaurant & Bar (Coral Gables)
320 San Lorenzo, Unit 1315, Coral Gables, FL 33146
New to Coral Gables, nestled inside of Merrick Park, is Ecléctico.
Ecléctico offers a delicious pan-Latin fusion menu and has excellent margaritas!
They are creating a buzz with their live music weekend brunches and offering a kid’s, a dog, and a vegan menu.
Happy hour is daily from 4-7 pm.
2) Peacock Garden (Coconut Grove)
2889 MacFarlane Rd, Miami, FL 33133
Peacock Garden is a Coconut Grove gem that is just steps away from both the bay and CocoWalk. Hints the name, when you dine here, you are surrounded by lush plants and flowers and are under the shade of tree canopies. The restaurant also offers a dog menu and is shaded enough that your dog will not get too hot. Did I mention that the food is also delicious? My go-to dish is the seafood risotto, and the appetizer is the French onion soup.
3) LoKal (Coconut Grove)
3190 Commodore Plaza, Miami, FL 33133
I had to include a burger place!
LoKal has some of the best burgers and service in town.
LoKal is not only the place for burger lovers, they offer a wide range of sandwiches, salads, vegetarian options, and creative appetizers.
Kush, the hospitality company responsible for LoKal, has other dog-friendly restaurants scattered throughout Miami: Kush by Lokal in Wynwood, Kush by spillover in Coconut Grove, and Kush by Stephens in Hialeah.
4) Shuckers Waterfront Grill (North Bay Village)
1819 79th St Causeway, North Bay Village, FL 33141
Located on the Island of North Bay Village, Shuckers has been serving North Miami for over 30 years.
Their famous wings, seafood, stocked bar, and amazing waterfront views have earned them the rating of Miami’s “Best Affordable Waterfront Dining.”
I recommend ordering the coconut shrimp and the fish tacos.
Every time I visit the staff are both attentive to me and my dog, bringing him a water bowl as soon as we sit down.
