Bask in the famed collegiate lifestyle that locals and tourists have come to love and embrace - this is South Miami, a well-loved neighborhood with leafy residential areas, a vibrant downtown, and luscious parks you and your pup can explore!

South Miami is a lively city called The City of Pleasant Living. It is near the main campus of the University of Miami, Coral Gables, and Pinecrest.

It encompasses 2.5 square miles within Miami-Dade County, with its "town center" east of the U.S. Highway (South Dixie Highway), which carries tens of thousands of vehicles daily.

Though adjacent to and sharing the same name as the state's most populous metropolitan area, South Miami is its own municipality, boasting a "small-town" feel that serves as a welcome contrast to big city living and has visitors falling in love.

Yet, it's not all South Miami offers, especially for people visiting with four-legged companions.

Here's a list of dog-friendly parks in South Miami.

And yes, folks, you can bring Fido when you visit!

Just don't forget its leash!

At Dante Fascell Park, you can enjoy a jogging trail to explore with your pup, marvel around the sculpture garden, or sit on the picnic tables for a quick lunch or rest with your bud.
