A Recap Of Mid Beach's Latest Community Projects

Where: across Mid Beach

When: TBA

What are the latest projects Mid Beach is cooking up?

Inquiring minds want to know!

And if you're one of them, read on as I give you a rundown of the completed and ongoing community enhancements you can expect in the next couple of months (or years!).

In 2023, the local city government completed the Indian Creek Drive landscaping project, which aimed to improve the landscaping along Indian Creek Drive between 41 and 25 Street to increase pedestrian experience and aesthetics for residents and visitors alike.

On the other hand, 41 Street & Indian Creek revitalization projects and the 41 Street Water Main replacement are ongoing and estimated to be completed in a few months or until further notice.

But that's not all!

Mid Beach will also welcome a new community park in 2025, Bayshore Park,  a passive park with a playground, an outdoor amphitheater, and six lighted multipurpose tennis and pickleball courts.

Bayshore Park (2300 Pine Tree Drive) will also boast a dog park named after the late former Miami Beach Commissioner Jorge Exposito, a jogging trail, pathways, a boardwalk, a pavilion, a Vita Course and fitness cluster, a butterfly garden, and a linear water feature.

This project is located on a former par-3 golf course site and will be completed by Fall 2025.

When: 2024-2026

Which new hotel brands are rising on Mid Beach's glorious sands, and which ones are out?

Here's the latest "tea" on the thriving hotel industry in Mid Beach!

First, you may be wondering why Confidante Miami Beach (4041 Collins Ave), a fixture in the community, temporarily closed in March.

Don't worry — the beloved hotel is slated to reopen as an Andaz-branded hotel in the last quarter of 2024 (November), bouncing back with a top-to-bottom transformation and a first-of-its-kind oceanview check-in experience in Miami Beach!

Of course, the 56-key hotel of Aman Miami Beach will also join Mid Beach's Faena District in 2026, touted to be one of Mid Beach's most luxurious condo-hotel developments, as it follows the footsteps of Aman New York as a torchbearer for Aman's urban evolution and irresistible energy!

Will we see more towering staycation destinations in Mid Beach?

We'll be watching like a hawk for new updates!

Fontainebleau Miami Beach Unveiled Plans To Build A New Events Center — Now, It's Almost Complete!

Where: 4441 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140

When: Nov 2024

In 2022, Fontainebleau Miami Beach, a famous Mid Beach landmark, unveiled plans to build a new events center, set to be completed in 2025.

But it seems this construction is moving faster than expected, as the new Coastal Convention Center (yes, it already has a name) is in its final stages and will be open to the public in November 2024 — a full year ahead of its intended completion date!

As soon as it rises, the Coastal Convention Center will offer an eloquent avant-garde design, state-of-the-art conference amenities, seamless connection to the outdoors, private terraces, and two elegant ballrooms, alongside 1,504 guestrooms and suites, including the Trésor Tower Penthouse.

Further, the Coastal Convention Center will boast 12 fine dining and casual restaurants, including Michelin-starred and AAA Four Diamond award-winning Hakkasan, Mirabella, and the hotel's innovative alternative to the traditional steakhouse, Prime 54.

But that's not all!

Legendary entertainment like the world-famous LIV Nightclub, the BleauLive Concert Series, and the iconic Bleau Bar are set to join Coastal Convention Center, along with a 40,000-square-foot Lapis Spa & Salon, a massive gym, 11 pools with 33 lavish cabanas, a beach, and a Fontainebleau Marina, an art gallery, the Art of Fontainebleau, and a dedicated retail area called The Shops at Fontainebleau!

Is this really a convention center?

If you ask me, it's an all-in-one destination!
